Patrick Kimathi Muguna is a renewable energy project developer with over 8 years' experience. He is the current Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Skynotch Energy Africa, a renewable energy company championing a 5.7Mw small hydro project in Kenya, 8.5Kw solar-diesel hybrid water pumping system. Supported by institutions such as World Bank Infodev Programme's Kenya climate Innovation Centre and Global Village Energy Programme. Patrick is a Green Pioneer Accelerator Programme and 2015 Unreasonable East Africa fellow.

Before Founding Skynotch Energy Africa he was a programme coordinator with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for 5 years, incharge of Private sector energy enterprises support. Patrick is experienced in resource mobilization for projects & businesses. He successfully raised funds for Mutunguru small hydro project, a $12.4M investment. He has a wealth of experience in stakeholder management with a bias in project development. He previously worked with Nation & Standard Media as a business development Executive for over 8 years.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from Kenyatta University and has undergone various trainings in entrepreneurship and solar energy management and application from UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Centre in Bahrain and UNIDO International Solar Energy Centre (UNIDO-ISEC) in China.
